Status - Due Diligence and Capacity Assessment (DDCA)

Description of Step - This stage involves a structured Due Diligence and Capacity Assessment (DDCA) conducted by CEF on the recommended applicant. The due diligence process includes screening against international sanction lists and conducting reference checks to verify organizational credibility and compliance. The capacity assessment focuses on evaluating the applicant’s governance structures, technical capability, and financial management systems. The outcome of this stage is a set of documented findings and recommendations that determine whether the applicant will proceed to the next step and be invited to submit a full proposal.
