Yes, however CEF does not prescribe specific thematic areas or sectors under this funding opportunity. Applicants are encouraged to propose context-driven and locally grounded areas of focus based on their understanding of the civic, social, economic, environmental and political dynamics in the country. Applicants are expected to identify the most relevant challenges and define how their proposed approach will contribute to strengthening civic collaboration, collective voice, and collective action.

Yes, CEF accepts concept notes from organizations like yours assuming you meet minimum eligibility criteria. CEF does not prescribe how to structure partnerships with informal organizations, however, this call is specifically intended to support grassroots organizations, community groups and civic networks.

No, this is a new program so we have not issued any grants yet. Applicants are at liberty to propose partnering options that they deem appropriate.

1. Applicants are free to propose consortia composition and size that they deem appropriate. 2. Organizations may apply for one location with multiple consortia but only once as lead per location.
